A. The parent and child(ren) that's listed on the referral from CPS. All visitors must be approved by the CPS worker to be allowed in the visits and this includes phone and video calls.
A. No, we are not Child Protective Services. However, we do work along with CPS to provide additional assistance like Supervised Visitations and educational opportunities like Parenting Classes for parents in need of our services. Our common goal with CPS is reunification among all families.
A. Anyone can receive assistance from us. You can be referred to us by Child Protective Services or through civil matters wanting parenting classes or private visitations. The Village does not discriminate based on a person's national origin, race, color, religion, disability, sex, and familial status.
A. We expect parents to be able to show they can discipline their children without using physical discipline. We ask that you have fun with your children and be able to meet their needs. Overall, as long as it is deemed safe and fun, your Family Coach will do best accommodate.
A. While we would prefer for visits to be held within the home, you will need to get that approved through CPS and your worker. We love community visits to parks, the mall and other developmental encouraging places here in town, however same is true about In-Home visits, they need to be approved first by CPS and your worker first.
